German-speaking Customer Support Advisor

Job Description

Job title: German-speaking Customer Support Advisor

Company: EasyJet

Job description: easyJet holidays is expanding into Europe, and we’re really excited about it! To support our growth, we’re looking for some awesome German-speaking Customer Support Advisors to join our Holidays Operations Centre.

This is your chance to provide a high-class service to our customers from the moment they arrive at one of our incredible beach or city destinations. You’ll be working in a fast-paced contact centre where you’ll be providing customer care and finding solutions over the phone and through digital platforms. You’ll be part of our award-winning Holidays Operations Centre team, located in our Luton office, and we’re available for our customers 24/7/365.

Working for easyJet holidays certainly has it perks! We’ve been recognised as one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work and won the Best Workplace in Travel in 2023, based entirely on feedback from our employees. In return for your commitment and dedication to creating brilliant holiday experiences, you will be paid a market-leading salary and bonuses, and we’ll also give you huge discounts on flights around the easyJet network (not just for you, but also your family and friends), and annual holiday vouchers so you can enjoy our holidays first-hand.

About the role:

As a German-speaking On Holiday Support Advisor, you’ll be providing exceptional service to customers calling in, both from your market-specific language (German) and from the UK. Your goal will be to solve their queries quickly and effectively, ensuring customers’ needs are met in the very first interaction. And don’t worry, you won’t be alone in this – our On Holiday Support Team Leaders will have your back and support you every step of the way.

You’ll be handling complaints and issues that arise both during holidays and after customers have returned, working closely with both customers and our destination partners. Your role will also be crucial in supporting our Duty Managers during incidents and emergencies, providing welfare calls in the language spoken by our Continental European customers.

On top of that, you’ll take care of some administrative tasks, like recording complaints and incidents in our database, maintaining the systems in our Holidays Operations Centre, and even sharing suggestions on how we can streamline processes to boost efficiency.

What you’ll bring to the team:

We’re looking for remarkable people to join our team. First things first, being fluent in both German and English (both spoken and written) is an absolute must as it’s the foundation of effectively communicating with our diverse customer base. Along with that, we’re seeking people who have previous experience in a fast-paced customer service/contact centre environment. You’ll need to be comfortable handling challenging situations and conflicts, all while maintaining a passion for providing the best service recovery and resolution.

Working in a dynamic environment means you’ll need to thrive under pressure. You’ll be working at a fast pace and juggling a high volume of calls, so you’ll need to be able to prioritise tasks with ease.

Compassion and understanding are essential skills as having a genuine care for our customers and their needs will make all the difference. Strong phone and verbal communication skills, coupled with active listening, will help you excel in your role. One of our values is “Together”, which means we take teamwork very seriously.

As our operation runs around the clock, you’ll need to be available for rotating shifts and have a flexible approach to working hours. We understand that life can be unpredictable, but your adaptability will make you a perfect fit for our team.

What’s in it for you:

Not only will you receive a market-leading base salary, but you’ll also be eligible for our company-wide bonus scheme and a 5% pension contribution. We offer a variety of share options and life assurance too. Plus, we have an impressive range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to your needs.

You’ll have 25 days holiday and access to heavily discounted flights for yourself and your loved ones, as well as free easyJet Plus membership and annual holiday vouchers.

The role is full-time, based at our easyJet holidays HQ near Luton Airport, and we work shifts on a roster basis.

At easyJet holidays, we’re committed to supporting our team with development opportunities and a welcoming atmosphere. As we create unforgettable experiences for our customers, we strive to do the same for our employees. The possibilities are endless with us, where would you like to go?

How to apply:

Please click on the apply button to complete your application. Occasionally we receive a large volume of applications for our roles and when that happens, we sometimes bring the closing date forward – so please apply promptly to avoid disappointment.

At easyJet holidays, we see people first and foremost for their performance and potential. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive organisation that supports the needs of all. As such we will make reasonable adjustments at interview through to employment for our candidates and strongly encourage applications even if you feel you don’t meet every item in the criteria. We are open to discussions around flexibility and flexible working, and we operate a hybrid working structure.
