Purpose:
This role will support the English Language Learning (ELL) division to build its brand through developing and executing world leading Social media strategies spanning both B2B and D2C customer groups. You will gain experience in activating brand and product campaigns at a global or local level and will support the day-to-day activities of the global marketing team. Every day you will strive to put the customer at the heart of everything we do.
Reporting to the Global Brand Marketing Director, you will combine your creative, communication and organisational skills with your social media experience to drive forward the 2024 Always on Social Strategy. The role will support ongoing efforts to expand Pearson ELL’s social media presence, including assisting with the creation, development and execution of content and campaigns to increase engagement and target new followers across social media platforms.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate marketeer to build on their social media experience and bring to life the Pearson English Language value proposition both internally and externally.
Key Accountabilities:
Working with the Social Media team, develop and execute our ‘Always on social’ strategy and calendar.
Work with our agency partners on content ideation, development and execution of social media campaigns
Complete day-to-day tasks including posting, scheduling and community management
Lead on Influencer activities & relationships
Maintain platform & channels back-end i.e, Access, Ad Accounts, Pixels etc.
Undertake monthly reporting on data, insights, and trends, making optimisation recommendations to help reach our 2024 goals.
Lead on the execution of monthly campaign kit drops to communicate upcoming social media content with the wider team and manage the feedback process.
Deliver and present performance reports to key stakeholders.
Build close working relationships with external agency partners, internal marketing teams, and with other key stakeholders across the organization.
Lead by example, demonstrating great behaviours every day: always curious, always collaborative, positively influencing, can do attitude and a sense of fun.
Competencies
Experience in Social media marketing.
Customer focused, enthusiastic, passionate, and creative. Action-oriented with a “roll up your sleeves approach”.
Always curious and up to date with the latest trends, platform algorithms, features, and best practices.
Experience planning and executing organic and paid social media campaigns across platforms
Knowledge of advertising tools would be a bonus.
Proficiency in using social media management platforms (including platform Ad, Campaign & Business Managers) would be helpful.
Experience in data reporting and analysis. Analytical skills and data-driven thinking is desired.
Experience of copywriting and visual design would be beneficial.
Graphic design or video editing skills are desired but not essential.
Evident fluency in English Language, being confident in speaking, reading and writing communication.
Excellent creative and copywriting skills along with verbal and written communication skills.
Great at building relationships.
Attention to detail and excellent organisation skills.
Education, Qualifications & Training
2-5 years marketing experience, ideally within social media.
Degree in Business, Marketing or a similar discipline is preferred.
