We are looking for an outstanding candidate with expertise in filmmaking. The focus of the role is on documentary film production, but you will need to teach across different film genres, and to contribute to teaching about visual and creative media more broadly.

You will work in the Department of Creative & Critical Practice, a vibrant community of academics and students doing practice-based work across a range of creative media. Our emphasis is on interdisciplinary practice that is socially and culturally engaged.

You will teach on degrees including BA Filmmaking, BA Media Production, MA Filmmaking, and MA Media Practice for Development & Social Change. You will be expected to develop and consolidate a portfolio of practice-focused scholarship in filmmaking.

Please contact Dr Christopher Brown, Head of Department of Creative & Critical Practice, at C.R.Brown@sussex.ac.uk for informal enquiries.
