Lecturer in Urban Planning in the Global South (Teaching and Research) at The University of Manchester
Job Description
We are excited to be recruiting for a Lecturer in Urban Planning in the Global South with an expertise in planning for climate change, environmental sustainability, urban planning systems, justice or governance.
You will take a lead in teaching the MSc Global Urban Development and Planning (GUDP) teaching core courses urban development in the Global South, participating in field trips, and supporting student projects/dissertations.
The post is intended to strengthen the research and teaching capacity of the Department of Planning, Property & Environmental Management (PPEM), within the School of Environment, Education and Development (SEED), and we would expect you to have research and teaching interests (UK and International) in the fields of urban planning and environmental management.
We also expect you to be committed to high quality research leading to publications and to deliver research-led teaching. You will also be expected to teach at all levels, from undergraduates to supervising PhDs and will also be expected to undertake a range of administrative and pastoral duties.
