Job description: The Job Planning Project Manager forms a crucial role within the Chief Medical Officers team at East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust.The team consists of a Senior Business Manager, supporting and leading the Revalidation and Job Planning Project Managers.The principle role of the Job Planning Project Manager is to support the organisations Chief Medical Officer in delivering the key part of the Consultant and SAS doctor terms and conditions along with various other aspects of the CMO portfolio.The Project Managers within the team enable and contribute towards achieving these responsibilities and provide a crucial function for the safe and effective running of the organisation. The purpose of the Job Planning Project Manager is to drive the organisation forward in achieving a number of strategic objectives relating to the effective job planning of its medical workforce.Main duties of the job

  • Enabling the delivery of the Trusts job planning cycle;
  • Developing, initiating, and delivering projects relating to job planning;
  • Supporting the lead for job planning in achieving their objectives;
  • Co-ordinating reports and supporting evidence of current and projected performance against key performance indicators;
  • Delivering mandated reports to the Board of Directors on behalf of the CMO;
  • Supporting and assisting medical staff with achieving the requirements of appraisal and revalidation and job planning;
  • Organising and servicing the training and workshops associated with job planning; and
  • Providing support to the lead for job planning in delivering a robust appeals and mediation process for job planning.
