Job description: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join ourMusculoskeletal Physiotherapy Team.We are looking for a Senior Physiotherapist to work as part of our wellestablished, busy department to assist with providing outstanding care.Our department has exceptional rehabilitation facilities and closeworking links working alongside Medical and AHP Consultants, a range ofAdvanced Practice Physiotherapists, including but not limited to; spinal,upper limb and lower limb, hand therapists, paediatric, rheumatologyand neurological specialties.This role offers regular protected professional development time and anindividual training budget as well as opportunities to develop with MSclevel study with partnering universities.A broad referral pathway of primary and secondary care providesclinicians with exposure to a varied caseload providing an environment ofdevelopment through a mix of challenge and support for clinicians.We offer a full package of benefits, including a car lease scheme; on-sitechildcare; generous annual leave in line with NHS terms and conditions;high street and public transport discounts; a 24/7 staff support service -and the little things that make life easier, like on-site Amazon lockers andfresh fruit and veg stalls.Main duties of the jobThe successful applicant will assist in the clinical delivery of musculoskeletal physiotherapy services within ateam of close to 100 physiotherapists between multiple sights and being based at the OutpatientPhysiotherapy Department at the William Harvey Hospital.The main duties of the job are:
- To work as part of the MDT to provide advanced assessment and treatment for a wide range os musculoskeletal patients. The patient caseload will consist of a range of 1:1 assessments and treatments as well as being responsible forindependently running group sessions, both in our aqua therapy pool and in our well-equippedPhysiotherapy gym.o Assist Therapy Team Leader in the planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating the Therapyservice provided to patients within the clinical speciality on a day-to-day basis.o The development of integrated care programmes and discharge plan with the patient.o To deputise for Team Leader on clinical and managerial issues within the team, including line management (including clinical supervision) of staff (e.g. Band 5, therapy assistants and students).o To be actively involved with training within the Department.o Clinicians working at this level will be expected to evaluate their outcomes, review non-respondingcases either with their peers or clinical specialists and refer on as appropriate using documentedclinical reasoning.o To be aware of the commissioning priorities locally.
