Job description: To support the Matron of Pastoral Care in leading domestic and international recruitment in line with the Trust’s recruitment and resourcing strategy.Main duties of the jobTo support the Matron of Pastoral Care in leading domestic and international recruitment in line with the Trust’s recruitment and resourcing strategy. This includes working with the wider resourcing team on aspects of recruitment, immigration and recruitment campaigns with our recruitment partners. To support the programme of pastoral care by running drop-in sessions for all staff and meeting staff on a one to one basis as required. Collaborative working is vital by linking with other teams that support our workforce such as the Workforce Development Education and Training Team, Wellbeing Team, Occupational Health Team, Organisational Development Team.About usWe are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people. Acting as an expert on international and domestic recruitment and best practice.To lead on pastoral care and support required for all staff across the trust.To work with the Care Groups to support the integration of the new recruits into their clinical teams, helping them to develop confidence and good working relationships with opportunities to discuss any concerns.To provide clinical leadership to ensure agency reduction delivers person-centred, safe and effective care and develops the leadership capability of others. To maintain a highly visible presence across the range of responsibilities relevant to the role.To lead on inclusive recruitment attraction strategies and plans enhancing recruitment of diverse teams and values-based recruitment as part of the Trusts People Strategy.The post holder will work closely with HR and OD colleagues on workforce development leading on projects to develop new roles and innovative ways of working to support the recruitment and retention of staff.To work with the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team to support cultural awareness.Act in accordance with your Code of Professional Conduct.Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo maintain credible links across the Care Groups and identified stakeholders to promote effective pastoral support.Be flexible and adaptive to support new staff on a group/individual basis to complete the necessary registration processes required.Contribute to all social media platforms to promote networks and information for international recruits.
