British University Vietnam invites applications from experienced candidates with international qualifications and preferably industry experience to apply for a faculty position in teaching Animation and/ or Illustration at the School of Communications & Creative Industries.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Illustration is a key focus of the CCP program at BUV, requiring a skilled professional to teach creativity in design and visual communication.
Starting in 2024, Animation is introduced as a specialisation, needing an educator proficient in creative animation and its practical applications.
The candidate should have experience, a proven track record in student support, and strong industry knowledge to enhance undergraduate programs in the School of Communications & Creative Industries.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
(Essential)
- PhD or Doctoral qualifications and/ or a master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- University or postgraduate teaching experience in English.
- Higher education teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one.
- Specialist knowledge to develop teaching programs and support.
- Effective delivery techniques to engage students.
- Understanding of the discipline to foster new knowledge.
- Evidence of positive impact beyond personal teaching.
- Experience in teaching, curriculum development, and quality assurance.
- Research experience with quality publications or other outputs in research or practice.
- Awareness of equal opportunity issues.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Clean police record.
(Desirable)
- Recognized excellence in teaching through peer review.
- Experience of living and working in Vietnam or Asia
- Evidence of a positive impact at a discipline or programme level beyond own teaching
- Leadership in research projects and funding.
- Experience teaching at the postgraduate level.
Note: Original certificates and degrees must be presented upon arrival in Vietnam, including degree, teaching certificates, and Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) or other police checks for work permit purposes.
