Job description: The successful candidate will have the exciting opportunity of becoming a member of the expanding Interventional Radiology team within the Kent Interventional Radiology Centre at Kent and Canterbury Hospital. Offering the chance of being part of the establishment of a Centre of Excellence providing service for Kent and Medway.The post holder will be part of a small administration team and will be able to respond to queries both internally and externally in the department, interpret problems and generate solutions in a polite and courteous manner to meet the callers’ needsMain duties of the jobTo work as part of an administrative team dealing with patient enquiries.Liaise with consultants, radiographers and nurses with regards to patient bookings and admittances.To monitor waiting lists, waiting times and DNA’s as per local and Trust Policies.Maintenance of room diaries.Take and distribute Minutes from Multi-disciplinary and other meetings.To cover leave and duties of other staff as required. Assisting less experienced staff and offer help and advice when needed.Ad-hoc tasks relevant to the post as directed by the Senior Administrator or IR Operations Manager.About usWe are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with fivehospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people.
