Applications are invited for a Guaranteed Hours (GH), open ended contract as a Tutor in Spatial Lighting Design on the following course: ARCH10053 Lighting Design for Spaces (120 hours)

The Opportunity: 

We are seeking to appoint a Tutor with experience of Architectural Lighting Practice, to join a team of teaching staff contributing to learning and teaching on an undergraduate SCQF Level 10 course. The successful candidate will assist with teaching, assessment and feedback in semester 2 of 2024/25 academic year. The course and specified learning outcomes sit within the undergraduate BA(Hons) Interior Design programme as a core course for year 3 students. In addition, the course is offered as an elective choice to Masters students within ECA. 

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • A practising designer with considerable experience of interior lighting practice, detailing and specification.
  • Ability to work within a team with a collegial attitude, respect and sensitivity toward students and other staff members.
  • Ability to apply professional practice experience to enhance student understanding of lighting theory into design applications.
  • An enthusiastic, positive and creative approach to teaching the specialist subject of lighting.
