Research Assistant/Associate at University of Glasgow

Job Description

Location: Glasgow Royal Infirmary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time researcher to make a leading contribution to a funded project focusing on community food, diet inequalities and the food system in Glasgow working with Dr. Ada Garcia, Prof Emilie Combet, Dr. Stephanie Chambers and other staff within the University of Glasgow and with collaborators in the Glasgow Centre for Population Health and several stakeholders within the Glasgow City Food Plan.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage and direct this complex and challenging project alongside the PI and the collaborators and will contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications.

Candidates should have specialist theoretical and practical knowledge in nutrition, public health, community food/diet, health and wellbeing, or related field.

The post is available full-time starting July/August 2025 and has funding up to 31st March 2028.

This position requires availability to work, on average, two Saturdays per month. In return, an alternative day off during the week will be provided.
