Course Leader – Digital Animation at National Film and Television School

Part time – engaged on a contract basis for approximately 120 days per year, daily rate of £230

It is widely acknowledged to be the top school of its kind in the UK and one of the best internationally, being named as one of The Hollywood Reporter’s top international film schools for over a decade. We are currently recruiting for a Course Leader in Digital Animation to lead our exciting new MA in Digital Animation for Film and Games. The NFTS environment provides a blend of technical, theoretical, artistic and story-based training, housed within a working film studio.  Our VFX labs are cutting-edge, with dedicated workstations that replicate those used in the VFX and games industry. Each machine has current industry standard software, including Maya, Unreal Engine, Blender, Unity, Nuke, Nuke Studio, Photoshop, Substance, Houdini, Resolve, Reality Capture and PTGui and others. 

The successful candidate will be an experienced Digital Animator, with knowledge and experience of current industry practice, including digital animation with real-time tools, such as game engines.

They will plan and deliver modules, teaching a significant part of the Digital Animation curriculum, and lead a team of contributing tutors. This would suit someone who is excited about imparting their knowledge to, and inspiring the next generation of film, television and games talent across 2D and 3D animation. Flexibility, good oral and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with staff and students are essential.
