Job Description

Job title: Renewables Partner/Team – key role to help build a growing and Legal 500 rated renewables team

Company: Bloom Legal

Job description: It’s an exciting time for a partner or team to be joining this well-known City law firm, which is very much on the up and keen to make more of a mark in the renewables space.

Whilst the renewables team is small, it’s growing and you can be a key part of the journey by helping to drive strategy. The team is Legal 500 ranked and is getting more plaudits as each year goes by.

The team works across all technologies including but not limited to offshore and onshore wind, solar, energy storage, combined heat and power, geothermal, hydro, wave and tidal.

It is more UK focused but the team is also carrying out a good proportion of work internationally.

You could be an established partner or a junior partner who is looking for a firm that will support you and allow you to reach your potential. The firm would consider a senior associate for partnership on day one. You would need to have strong client relationships / relationship skills. The team has work for an incoming partner or senior associate if they have a part following.

Over the last couple of years the work has been steadily growing and the time is right for the firm to recruit a second in command to help capitalise on the success so far and play a significant role in the further development of the team. The quality of the work it is regularly winning is very high, hence its Legal 500 recognition.

You’ll either have broad ranging renewables expertise or be involved in renewables work relating to infrastructure, development, financing or trading agreements as examples. It’s important to have excellent client and technical skills. If you have experience with ethical investments that would be welcomed too.

This is a key strategic role for a partner with great client skills and following, the size of which is dependent on the stage of your career. This role would be suitable for a partner made up in the last couple of years with a £200,000 plus following together with relationships or equally a senior partner with a £1M – £2M plus practice. Your clients will either already be firmly in the renewables space or seeking to transition to it. The firm is keen to bring in a collegiate team player. The lead partner and the firm are very much behind both this appointment and the team’s journey and see renewables as a key area of growth for the firm.
