/ Working Hours: 5-5-4 Shift Pattern, 7am-7pm

Gama Aviation is currently recruiting skilled Licensed Aircraft Engineers to work as part of our newly operational Mobile Service Team, travelling at short notice throughout the South of England and occasionally worldwide locations. This role will provide and perform certification of rapid response Aircraft Maintenance services from Mobile Support Units and line station facilities. / Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Line Scheduled and Unscheduled/AOG service delivery/certification to exceed our client’s expectations while remaining in compliance with GAMA Group policies and procedures
  • Working as part of a small team and individually with responsibility to co-ordinate Line and AOG events to conclusion
  • Responsible for ensuring that the allocated MST vehicle is always properly provisioned, clean, and ready for service prior to leaving shift
  • Accountable for Compliance with all procedures detailed within the GAEL Maintenance Organisation Expositions (EASA/CAA)
  • Accountable for Compliance with all company health and safety policies, procedures and COSHH requirements
  • Accountable for Compliance with all procedures listed in the current Staff Company Handbook
  • Any other duties commensurate with the position

/ Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:

Essential

  • Hold an unrestricted UK CAA Part 66 Licence Category B1 or B2 with at least one aircraft type rating
  • Previous aircraft Line/Base maintenance experience, preferably including AOG and mobile support
  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship or degree in Aeronautical Engineering
  • Working knowledge of Aviation regulatory framework
  • Extensive experience of aircraft maintenance and operations standards and practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Holds a valid Passport and UK Driving Licence
  • Flexible and able to travel at short notice

Advantageous

  • Good understanding of the concepts and requirements of SMS, Quality Assurance and Audits
  • Line management experience including the ability to delegate work, set clear directions and manage workflow
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills
  • Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills, and foster teamwork among team members
