Who we need
We are looking for an Animal Care lecturer who is a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join our faculty. The successful applicant will be able to teach City and Guilds Level 1 Diploma in Land Based Studies, Level 2 Technical Certificate in Animal Care and Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management.
You will be a responsible and confident teacher who has the skills to inspire both students and colleagues, and the ability to create innovative online learning resources is important as part of this role. We are looking for applicants that have experience in the animal care sector and particularly welcome those from veterinary nursing background.
You will be responsible for tracking and monitoring student progress as well as the assessment of learner work and compliance with Awarding Body guidelines.
What you’ll bring
With previous experience of teaching or coaching, you’ll have a practical, but creative approach that generates outstanding lessons that fully engage and inspire students, with ability to create innovative methods of learning.
The successful candidate will:
· Hold or be prepared to be work towards a recognised teaching qualification
· Demonstrate a commitment to contribute to the curriculum delivery across our Faculty provision.
· Possess excellent organisation and communication skills
· Work as part of a team
· Be passionate about teaching in Further Education
· Create and deliver engaging teaching, learning and assessment
· Be able to work in a demanding and changing environment
· Be committed to ensuring our students make the best progress possible
