They will develop a research programme with a focus on health and disease in either a human or veterinary medical context, addressing either fundamental mechanisms or clinically relevant concerns.

You will undertake research, individually and collaboratively, and publish high-quality, impactful papers regularly. You will seek and secure funding through the development of your own research proposals and be active in research and knowledge exchange projects both internally and externally. You will take an active role in supervising doctoral researchers and will take responsibility for leading new research and other initiatives linked to your area of expertise.
