Job Description

The Department of English, Media and Culture, in the School of Humanities is seeking to appoint an outstanding scholar as Lecturer in Cultural Studies. The candidate should have an excellent teaching and research profile giving them potential to work across several humanities courses, including Media & Film Studies and/or English Literature and/or Creative Writing. The candidate should also have potential to teach at PG level on the Humanities MRes and/or English MA and/or Cultural Studies MA. Among the undergraduate modules the appointee might deliver or contribute to in 2023-24 are the following; 

  • Literary Forms and Genres; 
  • Ways of Reading, Ways of Writing; 
  • Writing Worcester: Past and Present; 
  • Postcolonial Literary Encounters; 
  • Digital Cultures; 
  • Introduction to Film; 
  • Film Reviewing.
