Job description: Harris Hill is recruiting for a Head of Finance and Accounting on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract for this international Charity based in London. (Hybrid) (URGENT)

Interviews w/c 18th December. This position is to start in the month of January.

• Salary: £50,000 – £53,000pa depending on experience
• Position: Full Time 5 days a week position
• Hybrid working: 2 days is required at their offices in Vauxhall and 3 days can be worked from Home.
• Reports to: Director of Finance

Purpose

• To support and deputise for the Director of Finance on all aspects of finance, governance, legal and secretarial activities for the organisations.
• Assist the Director of Finance with preparing budgets, other financial forecasts, regular management accounts, financial reporting, analyses and insights for presentation to budget holders.
• Manage the financial and accounting operations and transactions including accounts receivable, accounts payables, credit control, bank account control and reconciliation, accruals, prepayments and general adjustments, petty cash, credit cards, expenses, etc.
• Monitor cash flow forecasts and the budget against actuals and report variations in budget.
• Complete monthly and annual reconciliation of the balance sheet and control accounts.
• Prepare monthly trial balance, Balance sheet, P&L and management accounts.
• Complete the month-end and year-end tasks.
• To support the Director of Finance with the implementation of the new finance system.
• To prepare, develop and analyse financial accounting information, financial statements, regulatory reporting, and financial controls.
• To be responsible for undertaking all day-to-day finance and accounting tasks, ensuring that current legislation and internal controls and procedures are always observed and supporting the Director of Finance in the overall provision of an efficient and effective finance and accounting function to the organisation.
