Job description: We have exciting new opportunities for CRM Marketing Effectiveness Analysts. As part of the Customer Engagement Team, the Effectiveness and Optimisation team support the development and continuous improvement of our engagement strategy across all owned channels. Working closely with the Commercial & Marketing teams, the Effectiveness & Optimisation Team delivers key measurement, analytics & insight across multiple channels, campaigns and brands, presenting clear insight on the drivers of customer interactions and commercial outcomes across the lifecycle.
In this role, you will maximise effective analytical techniques to determine impact and define and create a clear set of KPIs for all campaigns and activities and execute continuous measurement against them.
You will also set out optimisation strategies that will help the business units to resolve trade-offs between volume and value and use modelling to focus on high-propensity targets.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop end-to-end understanding of current and potential performance across all CRM and Lifecycle Campaign activity, ensuring insight is fully leveraged to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and refine campaign evaluation tools & techniques to enable robust and consistent delivery of reporting & analytics across, focusing on clearly identifying marginal value and ROI can be maximised.
- Identify value drivers relevant to acquisition and retention and present clear, actionable insights to relevant business and product owners.
- Delivery & maintenance of development of dashboards, reports and analytics for campaign effectiveness, model-performance and optimisation. Clear focus on the value such reports and dashboards create.
- Deliver actionable insight involving audience segmentation, exclusions and assignment of offers and channels based on historic performance and estimated future performance.
- Contribute to the design & delivery of the effective cross-channel attribution measurement & campaign performance.
- Design and oversee the implementation of test and learn strategies to support future campaign optimisation.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis on different aspects of cross-channel contact outcomes and customer behaviour within British Gas services.
- Build a reputation for thorough, proactive delivery and play a full role in the development of a high performing, well-renowned centre of analytical excellence.
Who are we looking for?
- A focusing on commercial and customer outcomes over outputs.
- Ability to deliver insight to develop the creation of distinctive and highly effective CRM campaigns & driving business change.
- Always putting the customer first and obsessing over the customer experience
- Knowledge of mining and analysing large data sets using strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of SQL/R Studio/Azure Databricks or other database interrogation language is essential, as is advanced knowledge of PowerBI, MS Excel & PowerPoint.
- Strong end-to-end knowledge of data-driven/direct marketing, data-driven sales channels and how these drive value and ROI.
- Understanding of data, databases, and processes to enable optimal campaign delivery, planning and effectiveness.
- Knowledge and understanding of the business key performance indicators as well as the key commercial strategies for British Gas.
- Ability to organise and present data/insight visually in a logically structured way.
