Role Overview:
The EVC Designer: Technical Sales will play a pivotal role in our sales and design teams, ensuring that our EVC solutions are both technically sound and tailored to meet our clients’ needs. They will also give brilliant post-sales support to our delivery teams, ensuring customer expectations & outcomes are fully understood by the delivery team, enabling swift realization of revenue & margin. This role will engage exclusively with commercial customers (private businesses & public sector entities)
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Technical Support:
- Design & cost EVC systems using industry-standard software.
- Provide technical support to the sales team during client meetings and presentations.
- Ensure designs comply with local regulations and standards
Sales & Customer Relations:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and provide technical insights.
- Present technical aspects of EVC systems to potential clients, ensuring they understand the benefits and features.
- Assist in preparing and presenting proposals, quotations, and contracts
- Supporting customers with feasibility checks, ensuring site can accommodate PV system
Continuous Learning & Development:
- Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the PV industry.
- Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance technical and sales skills.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the installation and maintenance teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for technical details and product availability.
Desired Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or professional experience in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Proven experience in commercial EVC system design and sales.
- Strong understanding of the UK’s renewable energy market and regulations.
- Proficient in EVC design software and tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
- Experience in formal tenders/frameworks competitive bids
