Role overview

As a Delivery Manager you will be responsible for managing several projects within your region and ensuring your team of labour managers and resourcers are meeting the needs of the clients at all times.

Recruitment onboarding, candidate management & compliance

• Maintain metrics on regional recruitment performance of labour managers and resourcing team and ensuring that the team are recruiting in line with the company and client requirements. Provide additional recruitment support where necessary
• Ensuring the client is provided with candidates with the best skills, experience and attitudes and the candidate undergoes the full project induction process.
• Oversee compliance metrics to ensure candidates are maintaining full compliance at all times.
• Where problems arise on projects, act as the escalation point to support labour managers to identify and deliver solutions.
• Provide support to candidates around career development opportunities and the VGC Academy.

Project management

• Understand clients projects KPIs. These will include but are not limited to health and safety engagement, skills, employment and education programmes and equality, diversity and inclusion targets. You will need to work closely with the VGC HSQE and social impact team to ensure full support is delivered.
• Liaise with clients (Works managers, site managers) on a regular basis through scheduled meetings, site engagement tours, health and safety events to ensure that VGC are continuing to deliver an excellent service
• Engage with VGC workers to ensure there is full understanding of onsite issues and to maintain the VGC culture.

Commercial management

• Ensure commercial performance on the project is maximised. Ensure good process is in place for the collation and sign off of timesheets.
• Support the commercial team to ensure that commercial matters are managed appropriately.
• Work with your manager on annual budget preparation and forecasting.

Business development

• Ensuring that the client is always 100% delighted with the level of service provided and ensuring that we maximise the opportunities available on each project.
• Identifying opportunities for upselling and cross selling.
• Identifying new projects within the region and working with the business development team on the sales pipeline.
• Involved in networking across client, local authority, supplier and charitable/community events in the region.

Team management

• Manage your team of labour managers to ensure all clients / projects in the region are receiving the full VGC service
• Oversee the team of resourcers and compliance staff to ensure appropriate levels of support are provided.
• Deputize for labour manager when required.

The successful candidate will have:

• Prior experience in blue collar construction recruitment
• Prior account management experience where
