Job description: My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Partner to join its prestigious top 100 law firm in Manchester. As a Construction Partner, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert legal advice and support to our clients in the field of non-contentious construction law. You will demonstrate a deep understanding of key areas of the law. In addition, you will have a proven track record of delivering practical advice in a manner that clients can easily comprehend.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice in the area of non-contentious construction law.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of key areas of the law.
  • Deliver practical advice to clients in a manner that is easily understood by individuals without a legal background.
  • Display ambition and aptitude for professional growth and development as a lawyer.
  • Maintain a strong focus and attention to detail in client care, ensuring the highest level of service.
  • Take the initiative to actively market and promote services to clients, including cross-selling opportunities to colleagues working in diverse areas of law.
  • Showcase excellent drafting skills, producing accurate and well-structured legal documents.
  • Apply a strong sense of commerciality in providing advice and solutions to clients, balancing legal considerations with business objectives.
  • Exhibit exceptional organization skills to effectively manage workload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate and lead a team when necessary, fostering a positive and productive working environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experienced Solicitor or existing Partner with extensive experience in non-contentious construction law.
  • In-depth knowledge of key areas of the law.
  • Proven ability to provide practical and easily comprehensible advice to lay clients.
  • Demonstrated ambition and commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • Strong focus and attention to detail in client care and service delivery.
  • Track record of successful marketing and cross-selling to clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent drafting skills, with the ability to produce accurate and well-structured legal documents.
  • Sound commercial judgment and the ability to provide commercially-driven advice.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working within or leading a team, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • Professional and respectful attitude towards oneself and colleagues.
