Goal of position:

This independent field sales position is responsible for growing sales of LOMA Systems check and detect equipment across Coventry, Northampton, Birmingham and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategy of how to best support the food industry in the region, visit customer sites and assess requirements
  • Create a deliverable Sales Plan and identify sites for new business opportunities
  • Build credibility with customers and prospect sites based on technical know-how and understanding of their applications
  • Prepare customer proposals, follow up and win business in line with the overall business strategy
  • Promote Loma service offering and work closely with the Aftermarket team to ensure contract revenue is maximised
  • Act professionally and promptly as the primary point of contact for customers with regards to new equipment
  • Meet and exceed the agreed monthly sales revenue target
  • Maintain pricing levels and margins
  • Update the CRM system for the specified sales area, ensuring data is accurate and up to date
  • Feedback competitor activity and market developments to technical teams
  • In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks assigned by their line manager that are essentially related to their duties

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Experience of Capital Equipment sales
  • Understanding and experience in the Food Industry
  • Ability to understand company sales tools including design guides for Metal Detectors, Checkweighers and X-Ray equipment and the associated technical applications
  • A demonstrable track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Self-organised and driven
  • Excellent communication skills
  • IT literate – able to use word, excel, power point and good presentation skills
  • Able to work remotely on own initiative, willing to travel with some overnight stays
