We are going through a period of growth. Over last few years our business is developing as interest in our business grows across the world, because of this we are keen to nurture an apprentice into this environment with a desire to do well.
We have specialised in perimeter security systems for the last 40 years, offering packages such as electric fencing, invisible sensors, and security software monitoring. Based in Stirling, we have previously worked on Government Security, the Buckfast Factory in Glasgow and even the Pyramids of Giza!!
This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual who is looking to gain experience in a small business and achieve a long-term future in marketing and business planning processes. It’s an enjoyable and varied role, being the first point of contact for all marketing campaigns and working alongside the marketing manager to grow and develop these skills! This is an entry-level role but a pivotal one, as you have the opportunity to grow as the business does!
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for managing the company’s social media campaigns via Linkedin, Instagram and Facebook
- Updating company blogs with stories and news relevant to the sector
- Managing the website via WordPress, overseeing updates and improvements to this
- Keeping up with the SEO requirements for the website and staying relevant in customer searches
- Attending exhibitions with the Marketing Manager to learn more about your product and industry
- Generating email marketing campaigns via mail chimp
- Concentrating on targeted advertising for these, especially after events with crucial business development
- Using Google analytics to understand these campaigns and how to get the best of them
- Generating strong leads for the sales team as a result
Desirable skills:
- Good knowledge of Office 365, Excel and Word – all other systems can be taught
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Good relationship building skills
- Professional manner
- A good team player, who can work to deadlines
- A ‘can do’ attitude
- Passion for customer service
- Any marketing experience is beneficial but not essential
Salary:
£16,000 – £18,000 per annum
Working week:
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 hour lunch break

They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.
On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
