They are seeking a skilled Interim Head of Rent and Service Charge Accounting to play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of the rent and service charge accounting functions. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team operating in Rent Accounting and Service Charge Accounting, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Develop and implement strategies for optimizing rent setting processes and service charge calculations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to enhance the service provided by the finance team to the customer facing teams.
• Stay updated on relevant regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Prepare accurate and insightful reports for senior management and board members.
• Take the lead on systems integrations and upgrades.

To be considered, the criteria to meet are:

• Proven experience in a senior management role within the housing sector, with a strong background in rent and/or service charge functions.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• In-depth knowledge of rent setting processes, service charge calculations, and housing regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with exceptional attention to detail
• Strong systems capabilities.

Expected salary: £70000 – 77000 per year
