Job description: Are you an experienced Automotive Project Manager competent in Big Data Management and looking for a new opportunity to grow your career? ASL Technical are working with a World leading Car Manufacturer as they look to expand their Engineering team with a Project Engineering Manager.

Main Purpose of the Project Engineering Manager

  • Promote and co-ordinate cost reduction activities – to deliver vehicle cost targets – and quality/customer satisfaction improvement activities.
  • Use strong analytical skills alongside technical knowledge to prepare, develop and review engineering proposals and schedules.
  • Lead the preparation for Milestone Meetings, working proactively and cross functionally with all stakeholders to ensure a good understanding of the development status and prepare recovery plans where necessary.
  • Maintain understanding and visibility of the Vehicle development status against its performance metrics (quality cost timing KPI’s) and communicate to line management and Assistant Chief Vehicle Engineer accordingly taking recovery actions where necessary.

Automotive Project Engineering Manager

ASL Technical are keen to talk to degree qualified engineers who have experience of project delivery within an Automotive environment and broad component knowledge on a whole-vehicle scale.

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate their ability to:

  • Proficiently work with Bill of Materials.
  • Competently budget plan.
  • Manipulate Big data sets and be a strong Excel user.
  • Effectively communicate cross-functionally with intercepting departments and international design teams.
