Job description: Commercial law firm in London is seeking to recruit a Social Housing Property Development Legal Director or Partner of at least 7 years’ PQE to play a leading role in the Social Housing team, including helping to plan and lead further expansion plans, and to complement the wider Property team. The role is offered on a full-time basis but part time will be considered. This highly successful, leading Social Housing team which sits within the Firm’s Property Department acts for a broad range of leading national and regional Registered Providers, local authorities, private house-builders and funders on a wide range of issues affecting the sector. The team is multi-disciplinary, which means that they provide their clients with a fully comprehensive service which covers all the legal needs of RPs and other bodies within the social housing sector. They have experienced significant growth in recent years and with high profile tender wins that growth is set to continue.
The successful candidate will ideally have gained their experience within a regional, national or City firm with a well-developed knowledge in all areas of commercial property and a particular bias towards the social housing sector. Additionally, you will have management experience to supervise a team, with the technical ability to run and manage your own full caseload of files from initial instruction through to post completion. You will also be advising on drafting and negotiating management agreements and service level agreements, acquisitions and funding. A desire to be actively involved in the marketing and business development of the department is also important in order to expand this area of work and gain new clients, as well as building good relationships with referrers in the local area.
Expected salary: £125000 per year
