  • Full time, Permanent
  • £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
  • Experience within the membership or education sector required

The Role

As the Head of Marketing and Communications, you will be responsible for creating our marketing strategy as well as planning and implementing day-to-day marketing and communication activities.

You will lead a dynamic team and develop creative marketing and communication initiatives to generate revenue through high-quality sales leads, increase our market presence and build brand awareness through exceptional content across all our platforms.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement revenue-focused marketing strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Optimise digital channels using industry-leading tactics for overall revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with sales to secure high-quality leads based on customer behaviour insights.
  • Improve marketing automation for enhanced customer engagement and lead generation.
  • Implement and manage effective SEO and PPC strategies within budget constraints.
  • Review and report on marketing success, including KPIs and ROI, with improvement recommendations.
  • Ensure consistent brand integrity across all channels.
  • Create engaging cross-platform content to support sales strategies and respond to education news.
  • Coordinate production of membership benefits such as newsletters, pamphlets, and journals.
  • Manage the marketing and communications budget for cost-effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate positive teamwork, hands-on approach, and leadership within the team.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Accreditation in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Two years of extensive experience in senior marketing roles, demonstrating leadership skills in team management and B2B marketing.
  • Over two years of proven success in effectively leading and managing teams.
  • Two years of hands-on experience with MS Dynamics, Google Analytics, WordPress, and marketing automation platforms (such as Force24 or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in a diverse range of digital marketing techniques, with a demonstrated track record of achieving substantial lead generation and revenue growth.
  • Track record of creating engaging content for various channels.
  • Strong proficiency in digital marketing and analytics tools.
  • Robust leadership, communication, and commercial skills, facilitating effective team leadership and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to specific audiences. Fluency in English is essential.
  • Experienced in leading projects from start to finish.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding planning and organisational skills.

Desirable

  • Experience of using customer journey real-time orchestration tools.
  • Knowledge and awareness of the English education landscape and / or membership sector.
  • Experience of launching new products using a wide range of communication styles.
