LOCATION: West Midlands (Hybrid)
SALARY: Dependant on experience

THE ROLE: Our client, a global business are seeking a German speaking Commercial Legal Counsel who will report into the Director of Risk Management and Legal Services for the EMEA region. Looking after a wide geographical area the successful Commercial Legal Counsel will be required to advise the business on a wide range of subjects including contract law and related commercial matters. These will include;

  • Contract negotiations/reviews
  • Dealing with any employment dispute, claims or litigations; attend mediation and other external meetings as required.
  • Effectively manage a caseload of on-going legal issues/cases/queries and ensure that matters are dealt with in line with standards and service level agreements.
  • Liaise with managers and decision makers with regard to on-going legal matters.
  • Developing and maintaining good relationships with people within the Business, gaining the confidence of the Business

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate would be a qualified solicitor, with at least 2 years’ PQE with proven commercial contracts experience

  • Fluent German speaker
  • Confident and able to build relationships with people in different parts of the world
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, and external partners
  • Excellent time-management skills
