We are currently seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to join our growing client in Rumney. This role offers the opportunity for a temporary position that may lead to a permanent role, providing stability and long-term career growth.
As a Warehouse Team Leader, your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Managing a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, support, and training to promote a positive and productive work environment.
- Assigning tasks, monitoring work progress, and ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Maintaining inventory accuracy, performing stock checks, and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation.
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as required.
- Managing and escalating any issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisors.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
- Driving is required for this role, therefore a valid driver’s licence is essential.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- A valid driving licence, as driving is an essential requirement for this role.
- Forklift certification is desirable but not essential.
