We’re looking for a Senior CBS Advisor to join our Co-op Business Services (CBS) finance team. In this role, we’ll look to you to support the Record to Report Manager, taking ownership of complicated account reconciliations to make sure they’re accurate and up to date. If you’re looking to develop your reconciliation skills, this role will provide great experience to support this. You’ll also have an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to work in the wider financial accounting team.
What you’ll do
- Produce management balance sheets and management information reports
- Complete and query other control account reconciliations
- Be responsible for accurate completion of cross system reconciliations
- Co-ordinate the resolution and escalation of issues arising on a day-to-day basis, including resolving errors within our ecommerce food store offering
- Collate, extract and interpret data from multiple source systems to provide summary management information via various reporting techniques to support financial control
- Demonstrate and contribute to a continuous improvement ethos and way of working
This role would suit people who have
- Previous accountancy and reconciliations experience
- Experience with all Microsoft Office packages including strong Microsoft Excel skills – with the ability to use pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFS and writing formulas
- The ability to analyse large sets of data
- Great communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences in a clear way, stakeholder management
- The ability to work independently, manage your own workload and meet deadlines with a flexible and adaptable attitude
