About our team:
Within this position, you will work with business units, supporting multiple assigned projects aimed at delivering IT solutions and services that meet company cost, quality, and strategic targets. The role will predominately focus on gathering and analysing work group data, defining current processes and requirements, researching best practices, and identifying and documenting process improvements and functional specifications.
About the role
This is an opportunity for you to have a major contributing role to a product that provides a global impact on agriculture.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Gathering business requirements for new features on the product roadmap.
- Liaising with subject matter experts, design, and product teams to refine these requirements.
- Develop systems specifications, process flow and conversion strategies.
- Follow established business processes, protocols and quality standards in the development and deployment of complex solutions.
- Producing documentation and diagrams for work items to facilitate the knowledge transfer to the development and testing teams.
- Writing detailed user stories to present to the squad during story pointing workshops.
- Work to maintain the quality of the product throughout the development process.
- Conduct and expedite user acceptance testing to ensure that the functionality being released upholds both development and end-user standards.
- Create technical and functional user documentation.
Qualifications
- An ability to maintain automated test scripts.
- Proficient analytical skills to interpret and translate the needs of customers and stakeholders into operational processes.
- Exception organisational and time management skills to balance multiple workstreams.
- Ability to facilitate communication and collaboration between the development team, stakeholders, and customers.
- Proficiency in documenting As-Is and To-Be processes.
- A broad understanding of software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Previous experience of working in an agile environment and using a recognized development methodology e.g., Agile, SCRUM, KANBAN.
- Competency with Microsoft Office products.
- Written communication skills including process documentation.
- Knowledge and prior use of UML modelling language.
- Broad technical understanding across various methodologies, platforms, tools, and languages.
- BS/BA degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience required, ISEB qualified Business Analyst preferred.
- Scrum master experience is desirable.
