Job description: Red Sky Personnel are recruiting for an Aicraft Material Supplier at Heathrow Airport. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for entry level candidates looking to launch their career in Aviation.

As an Aircraft Material Supplier you will play a key role in keeping the British Airways fleet in the sky. In this role it will be your responsibility to ensure the the recipt, storage and distrubution of aircraft materials and tooling meet the operational and maintainence requirements in a cost effective and timley manner.

Responsibilities

  • Transact aircraft materials and tools in accordance with the current technical procedures and processes.
  • Deliver, move and distribute materials/tools to meet the needs of the operation.
  • Ensure good storekeeping practices and quality standards are maintained to a high level at all times .
  • Responsible for compliance with health & safety, environment and quality legislation.
  • Maintain stock accuracy via a cyclic audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  • Provide expertise in relation to Dangerous Goods & Road Transportation regulations (where relevant IATA/ADR course certification/knowledge is held).
  • Receipt aircraft materials into British Airways Engineering in accordance with the privileges granted under approval of being an Materials Inspection Authorisation stamp holder (Obtained after training)
  • Exercise personal responsibility and reasonable care in preventing harm to yourself and others

Shift Patterns

On average 40 hours a week.

4 on 4 off Days

Monday – Friday Days

4 on 4 off Nights

Salary

£27,112 Days (Inc Shift Pay)

£32,012 Nights (Inc Shift Pay)

Person Specification

  • A full UK, manual driving licence with no more than 3 points
  • Although full training is provided, previous manual handling and teamwork experience is desirable
  • Have a zero tolerance approach to security
  • Good attention to detail and a meticulous approach to your work
  • Must be hardworking and reliable with an excellent work ethic
  • Have no unspent criminal convictions – If you are successful at interview, you will be required to apply for a Criminal Record Check
  • Counterbalance Forklift licence (preferable)
  • Knowledge of Dangerous goods

Requirements

Due to the location of work being at the airport you must qualify. Therefore, you will need to be able to provide the following information:

  • 5-year checkable history (employment, self-employment, education or benefit claim)
  • 5-year UK address history
  • Eligibility to work in UK (UK Passport, EU Passport, Non-EU Passport & Visa, Biometric Residence Permit, UK Birth Certificate & (British citizens only)
  • Provide proof of National Insurance
  • Provide proof of address dated within the last 3mths (utility bill, bank statement, HMRC Letter)
  • Successful candidates will be required to pass driver medical and driving assessment

Expected salary: £27112 per year
