We are seeking a Revit Technician with a focus on below ground/building services design. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing close-knit, busy and ambitious group in Welwyn Garden City.
The team are delivering on some of the most exciting multi-disciplinary engineering projects in the commercial, industrial and residential sectors of the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilise Building Information Modelling (BIM) software to create accurate & detailed 3D models of below ground services and drainage systems.
- Modelling of a range of MEP services, including but not limited to mechanical pipework, ventilation, lighting, power, containment, and drainage.
- Assist in the development of BIM standards & best practices within the organisation.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensuring the most up to date techniques, industry standards and technologies are implemented in house.
- Aiding in the development of an in-house BIM database, creating relevant families, protocols & best practices for the company.
- Supporting the Civil Engineering team with technical delivery using Revit and other BIM related software
- Completing 2D and 3D drawings to the appropriate standards for issue.
- Provide basic below ground services and drainage design to guide the in-house design engineer to complete the more complex systems design with the opportunity to take up more complex design in areas of interest.
- Work closely with the design engineer to ensure that all design, construction, and handover information is complaint with the requirements of the contract and client.
- Quality control of all BIM/CAD deliverables, lead the spatial coordination and clash detection process and enhance the integration of the different parties involved in the project.
Requirements:
- HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification, ENGTech desirable;
- Experience working with BIM software in a UK professional setting;
- Ability to draw in 2D & 3D using AutoCAD & Revit software;
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
