Description
We have a great Management Accountant to work in the finance team at our client who a small and growing business supporting clinical research and risk based quality management. We are looking for a Management Accountant to help them grow.
You will need to be well organised, interested in working at a small but growing commercial organisation who make a huge difference to people working in clinical trials. You will also need to be able to get to our client’s offices in Cambridge.
The key functions performed by the Management Accountant will include, but may not be limited to the following areas:
- review and management reporting of the timely submission of weekly timesheets by employees and contractors, and follow-up/chase missing timesheets & incorrect data.
- calculation of cost recognition for each month based on timesheet data entries.
- maintenance of the Project Resource Forecasting Workbook, updating each
Project Forecasts received from Operations:
- preparation of the Monthly Revenue Recognition Workbooks for each month
- based on Project Resource Forecasting Workbook and Licence Revenue
Contracted Invoice Databases (which records the forecast invoice date for each
signed contract and the actual date and invoice number when actual invoices are issued). This data is used to determine the completeness of billing and the
forecast cash receipt date for invoices which have yet to be raised.

- You should be a qualified or part qualified accountant
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with leadership team
- Excellent analytical and numerical abilitie
- Good Excel skills
- Understanding of and experience of using online accounting systems (Xero and Quickbooks financial accounting systems helpful)
- Knowledge and experience of accountancy, financial reporting and bookkeeping
- Accuracy and eye for detail
Qualifications
- Good level of accounting experience
- Knowledge and use of accounting packages
- Good Level of competence on Excel and database management
- Level of competence of SQL and database management
- Understanding of and experience of using online accounting systems (Xero and Quickbooks financial accounting systems helpful)
- Knowledge and experience of accountancy, financial reporting and bookkeeping and at least a part qualified accountant

Expected salary: £35000 – 45000 per year
