Job description: We are recruiting for a logisitic coordinator to work with our team at Ely.

The job of a Logistics support requires certain skills and abilities to perform excellently.

Here are the major skills and qualities employers will usually require you to have to work as a forklift driver in their companies, as they believe having such attributes will make you better on the job than others who do not have them: * He/She must possess the good telephone manager

  • He/she must possess good pc skills
  • He/she must have a good understanding of specs and dimensions
  • He/she must be able to work alone / part of a team
  • He/She should have a good knowledge of locations within the UK
  • Must be willing to work flexible shifts as he/she may be required to change load plans at vital / short notice
  • He / She is expected to have the ability to work in high pressure environment
  • To provide all internal and external DS Smith clients with an outstanding level of service with focus on communication, accuracy, reliability and dependability
  • To ensure that Inhouse documents are up to date and supplied in a clean, standard format.
  • To learn and understand the new Brexit regulations.
  • To coach and mentor the logistics administrator.
  • Good, clear communication with the haulier companies.
  • Excellent relationship with the Sales and production teams.
  • To attend the daily capacity calls to inform the business of any potential failures/issues.
  • To keep on top of all the deliveries being put onto the schedule.
  • Must have an excellent telephone manner when dealing with Internal and external customers.
  • To produce a thorough handover sheet to the Logistics Manager on a daily basis outlining any issues.
  • To establish a very close working relationship with the Day Shift Manufacturing Manager.
  • To establish and maintain excellent relationships, based on trust and reliability, with all relevant internal departments and with client contacts
  • To manage multiple ongoing projects, with over-lapping timelines, to a high standard, within budget
  • Maintain an effective method and strategy for reporting the cost and success of all forms of dispatch
  • Notify Account Management teams of any issues, or changes, in booking-in or delivering any client projects at the earliest possible opportunity

Hours of work 40 hours Monday to Friday,
