We are currently recruiting for a physically fit Yard Operative to join our friendly team, working within our Waste Operations, Cleansing and Fleet department. In this role, you will be the only person on site daily where you will maintain site security, waste incoming and exiting the site, ensuring all laws pertaining to waste movements are followed.
In this role, you will take total responsibility for site security, ensuring that the site, store areas within, fuel storage and all equipment is locked and secure at the end of the working day.
The site is a registered transfer station and as such there are regulations that must be adhered to on site with regards to waste storage and acceptance.
Ideally, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of working in waste management, and will be:
Essential:
- Physically fit, able to deal with multiple tasks whilst maintaining site security and safety at all times within our Meadow Road Depot.
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of the relevant sections of the H&SWA 1974
