Location: Brigg

Salary: £29,532 – £40,000 per annum

Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Logistics Officer (FTC) on behalf of one of our Clients. The successful candidate will report to the Fuel Director & will manage all aspects of the fuel logistics and strategic storage on site.

This role is a Fixed Term Contract, up to 12-months.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Comply with and promote HSEQ requirements across all fuel logistics activities.
  • Ensure sufficient fuel at plant for daily and weekly operations.
  • Remove reject straw from plant and strategic storage sites.
  • Ensure that haulage payments are accurate and paid in due time.
  • Together with the fuel team, prepare monthly fuel forecasts, delivery plans and annual fuel plan.
  • Continuously improve processes and procedures to improve efficiency and financial performance.
  • Ensure activities are coordinated with relevant third parties, ensuring positive working relationships.
  • Manage logistics to and from strategic storage sites.
  • Ensure safe working practices and procedures are adhered to.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • This position requires a high degree of flexibility, self-motivation, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Ideally you will be degree qualified, with strong IT skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • You will also have documented competency in haulage management practice, and able to demonstrate competency in a similar role.
