We have two Senior Sales Manager, Acquisition roles available.
Why this job matters
The Senior Sales Manager, Acquisition sets the acquisition sales strategy to deliver profit and revenue growth both in-year and across the term of the medium-term plan (MTP) for the vertical, making a significant contribution to the overall Corporate and Public-Sector (CPS) strategy. You’ll virtually work with the acquisition community across CPS, be a key interface with other vertical directors and acquisition leads and drive BT’s reach further into the vertical, explore new opportunities and develop strategies for extending our coverage model to achieve the best return on investment.
What you’ll be doing
- Sets the acquisition sales strategy and plans for that will form part of the overall CPS verticals sales strategy and plans.
- Leads the work on market insight application, understands the addressable market opportunity and creates strategy to prioritise focus and maximise market coverage.
- Brings the customer voice for the acquisition team to the heart of decision making, using intelligence from the customer base, and combining this with the latest research and trends.
- Uses internal and external networks to adapt the acquisition plan to changing market forces, competitor activity and customer opportunities.
- Sets and promotes the customer engagement plan for the acquisition team and manages across Service, Customer Solutions, Sales Enablement and Contract Management to drive excellent customer experience and NPS improvements.
- Builds brand identity, maintains and builds upon a wide stakeholder network across organisations, to nurture, develop and grow opportunities.
- Develops and executes the people plan for the acquisition team, builds a culture of continuous learning and development and an environment for the team to focus on customer loyalty and long-term relationships, and creates a reputation for the acquisition team that attracts the very best talent.
- Manages sales performance to achieve the acquisitions team sales plans across financial (revenue, EBITDA, SOVGM) and non-financial measures (KPIs, NPS, Your Say) at team and colleague level.

What we’d like to see from you
- Acquisition sales management experience and people leadership skills with the ability to motivate a large, highly skilled, and multi-disciplinary sales team.
- Advanced personal sales experience in Telco or Technology sectors with proven credibility to operate at C-suite level.
- Knowledge of emerging technology, market conditions, industry standards, government regulations and other factors affecting business operations and the ability to incorporate relevant innovation into solutions.
- Experience acting on analysis of trends including changing customer demands or opportunities to enhance sales performance.
- Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal and consulting skills with the ability to deal with high-profile customer opportunities.
