We’ll work with you to develop your technical expertise so that you can become a real Difference Maker and develop sustainable and innovative solutions to address these issues. You’ll join a growing team of modellers, engineers and flood risk professionals working together towards the best client outcomes.

At Sweco you’ll work across a wide range of clients including: local authorities, contractors and water companies such as Wessex Water, Welsh Water & Yorkshire Water. You’ll may also have the opportunity to gain experience outside the UK as we are working on the framework for the Government of Jersey.

We are looking for individuals who can challenge conventional thinking and work collaboratively to meet a wide range of business, environment and regulatory challenges for these clients. The role offers an opportunity for successful candidates to broaden and diversify their expertise.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Experience of using Microdrainage/Infodrainage software or similar to develop creative solutions is essential.
  • A strong interest in the water environment and an understanding of the issues associated to sustainability and climate change adaptation.
  • Experience of mentoring junior staff
  • Ability to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members and to produce reports in plain English
