Job description: Each of Taylor Wimpey’s regional businesses has a finance team that drives the commercial performance of their respective business and are responsible for providing valuable reports to our Group Finance team based in Head Office. Led by their Finance Director, each of these teams are vital to the financial structure of the organisation. Through quarterly forecasts and monthly accounts, they provide key data to the board and enable some of the most important strategic decisions for the business.

The Accounts Clerk role requires control of the procurement processing and purchase ledger within COINS ensuring accurate postings and timely payments.

This is a part time role with flexibility to working days/hours.

What you will do:

Ongoing/Monthly

  • Monitoring of the Strategic Land Orders Mailbox and efficient response to queries.
  • Shared monitoring of the Strategic Land invoices Mailbox, alongside the Finance Assistant, with efficient response to queries.
  • Raising land payments (CHAPS) for the Strategic Land team as and when needed, ensuring the appropriate authorisations are in place.
  • Completing Strategic Land transactional posting in respect of PO’s and the Purchase Ledger.
  • Assisting the Management Accountant when required.
  • To work collaboratively with SL Finance Assistant based on individual workloads

Ad Hoc

  • Assisting with the preparation of ad-hoc reports as and when necessary.
  • Assisting the team with any tasks when there is capacity to do so.
  • Responding to requests for information from the Strategic Land team.

What you will have:

  • Relevant experience within an accounting function
  • Good previous experience of spreadsheet analysis in a financial environment (intermediate Excel).
  • Good organsiational skills and ability to manage to deadlines
