For the successful Design Engineer our client is offering: * Starting salary of £42,000

  • Day shift (08:30 – 17:00, Monday – Friday)

The role – Design Engineer: * Providing mechanical design services to support engineering change & new machinery development alongside the existing design & development team.

  • Working with suppliers to select the very best materials and components for machines.
  • Working to, developing, and expanding internal design guides and standards.
  • Driving machine reliability and flexibility through continuous development of capability.
  • Providing internal technical product support.

What our client is looking for in a Design Engineer: * Experience within the food or processing industry – PREFERRED

  • An individual who embraces and lives our clients’ core values of Determination, Quality, Integrity, and Teamwork
  • A Degree qualified or equivalent industry experienced mechanical designer engineer with 3D CAD expertise (ideally SolidWorks)
  • Exposure to a regulated environment and experience of working within the machinery directive, EHSR’s, FMEAs DVPSOR etc.
  • Applicants will be expected to go through a 2 stage interview process with the first stage being a numeracy and literacy assessment.
