The team
The Finance Change team are responsible for the successful delivery of a portfolio of projects and programmes, across Finance and adjacent functions such as Tax, Treasury and Procurement. The team has recently implemented a global cloud-based Oracle Fusion General Ledger and a Finance Data Warehouse based on Microsoft Azure, which form the foundation of the Finance systems architecture.
What you’ll do
- Drive the delivery of change across Finance; prioritising the change with a strategic approach
- Utilise Business Analyst skills to understand process flows, outline data lineage, problem solve, and manage complex issues
- Take personal ownership and lead delivery of a large and/or complex change projects or workstreams
- Work with Stakeholders across Schroders, Solution Architect(s) and Group Technology to shape, deliver and embed the solutions for Finance and the wider business
- Deliver tangible change for Schroders, through successful delivery of project outcomes.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Excellent business analyst skills, in particular the ability to develop business and data requirements and articulate those for Technology implementation
- Excellent workstream lead / Project Management skills with a demonstrated track record of working on complex Finance change projects.
- Experience in supporting and managing Finance change projects
- Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to partner with, and present to, senior business stakeholders
- Experience of documenting as-is and to-be business processes
- Ability to analyse requirements and create functional specification documents
- Strong data analysis skills
- Good MS Excel skills including the use of advanced functions
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work to strict deadlines.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
- Accountancy qualification or equivalent Finance experience
- Experience of delivering complex projects across Finance and Data
- Experience of managing across business and technical competencies
- Experience of working in Financial Services organisations, specifically asset management or banking
- Excellent understanding of the business context of the change agenda, specifically within Finance functions.
