Job description: The General Medical Council (GMC) works to improve medical education and practice nationwide. We’re currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join the Information Systems Strategy and Data team to make meaningful impact by supporting the development of technology and application strategy.
Using your technology experience and organisational skills, you will be responsible for inputting into the strategic design of solutions architecture and building strategic roadmaps for our core systems. You will also assist in the development of technical recommendation in terms of technology adoption and provide an innovation focussed horizon scanning function.
To be a success in this role, you should be experienced in enterprise-wide software analysis and design, having worked on designing or implementing software across a large organisation. You should also be familiar with software modelling techniques and have a good understanding of emergent technologies.
By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the GMC by helping to coordinate work across IS, contributing to strategic plans, and work closely with other teams. Your contributions will support the GMC in being a fair and inclusive regulator, and that we continue to provide the highest quality service to our stakeholders.
This is a hybrid role between home working and office working, you’ll work 1 day a fortnight in the office, or more if you prefer. We may ask you to attend the office on additional days where necessary, for example training or team meetings.
