As they continue to grow and innovate, they are now seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Architect to join their dynamic team.
The Role
The Cloud Architect will report directly to the Chief Technical Officer and will take a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure. This position offers a unique opportunity for candidates with a strong background in cloud computing, a passion for healthcare, and the ability to translate technical requirements into effective and scalable cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluates and recommends cloud services, technologies, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure the security, compliance, and performance of the cloud infrastructure.
- Lead initiatives to migrate existing applications and systems to the cloud, optimising for performance and cost.
- Provide guidance on cloud-related policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure adherence to industry standards.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of cloud services (including Azure) and their features.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in the cloud environment.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions in large-scale environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and emerging trends
Qualifications
- Relevant certifications for Azure – this is essential
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
