Job description: Our client based in Mildenhall is seeking an experienced CAD Designer who has extensive previous experience using SolidWorks and AutoCad to produce 3D models and technical drawings. You will ideally have experience working in a production/manufacturing environment and an enthusiastic and engaged attitude. What our client can offer you:

  • Using both SolidWorks and AutoCad to produce high quality 3D models and technical drawings.
  • Design and draw complex drawings, sharing knowledge and experience with a Junior CAD Designer.
  • Amend and update drawings where required.
  • Maintain and update Cadly (drawing management system) with standard drawings.
  • Liaise with the sales team to raise designs from customer briefs.
  • Design strong and effective design solutions while minimising costs to produce and manufacture.
  • Liaise with production to ensure they have the correct technical drawings and necessary information.

What we are looking for:

  • Extensive previous experience using SolidWorks and AutoCad to produce 3D modesla and technical drawings.
  • A Design based qualification e.g A Level/BTEC/Apprenticeship/Degree.
  • Good knowledge of MS packages including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, good attention to detail and the ability to proritise.
  • Good project management skills.
