Private Client Solicitor/ Legal Executive

Our client a well-established law firm based in Chelmsford, have an opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor/ Legal Executive to join their busy Private Client Team.

If you’re an ambitious Private Client Solicitor / Legal Executive, with experience of Wills, Trusts, Estates, Tax planning, Deputyship, LPA’s and IHT Matters then we would like to hear from you.

The Role

  • You will handle your own wide varied caseload of Private Client Matters
  • To include drafting legal documents including Wills, Codicils, Trusts , Lasting Powers of Attorney and HMRC Inheritance Tax forms
  • Deeds of variation and advising on all related tax issues
  • Court of protection, Probate and the Administration of Estates and Trusts
  • Dealing with elderly client matters
  • Tax planning , IHT Matters, Estate Planning
  • Submit probate applications to Probate registry
  • Costing court of protection files
  • Preparing Estate Accounts
  • Attend networking events to promote the firm

The Candidate

  • The successful candidate will ideally be 0 – 3years PQE Solicitor or Legal Executive although candidates who fall outside of this will also be considered
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Working knowledge of case management systems and Microsoft Office Applications
  • A strong team player
  • Ambitious with a passion for Private Client Law , prospects of heading department in due course
  • Ability and willingness to actively market the Private Client Department
