Imagine efficiently executing interventions, navigating emergencies and programs with National Society partners in the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement. Enhancing food and nutrition security, fostering sustainable livelihoods with communities in crisis? If so, this role is for you.

A day in the life of the Food Security and Livelihoods Officer will involve:

  • Conducting in-depth research, developing briefings, and monitoring trends for strategic updates.
  • Representing FSL advisory in emergency and regional forums, providing essential technical input.
  • Leading reporting for Hunger Crises, confirming inputs for comprehensive quarterly reports.
  • Assisting in managing delegate registers, communication, and facilitating deployments..

To be a successful Food Security and Livelihoods Officer, you’ll need:

  • A degree level qualification or equal work experience in food security, livelihoods programming, or rural development,
  • Excellent admin and organisational skills, demonstrating accurate attention to detail and record-keeping.
  • Proven ability to prioritise and manage work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, delivering on time and meeting specific objectives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at tailoring messages for diverse audiences.
