The role

As a Senior Cyber Security Architect, you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary, in which you will Deliver compelling cyber security consultancy involving the leading and supporting the design and development of secure technical system & solution architectures for our markets.

Day to day you will:

  • Work in partnership with our clients to drive the security outcomes they require in their specific business context, considering impacts to their business/operations, covering all aspects of cyber security related risk and across the security and system/solution lifecycle.
  • Develop conceptual security solutions, architectures, models and associated principles & approaches; devise and develop security plans, policies & processes and advise security related technology selection across a range of technologies and scenarios/environments, taking account of threat context, and business factors including affordability.
  • Work collaboratively with other architect disciplines and technical experts to deliver a security viewpoint on architectures that informs design while ensuring security requirements are met and risks are addressed.
  • Work collaboratively with other security practitioners to shape and influence good security architectural solutions that meet relevant governance/regulatory requirements and customer business & security outcomes.
  • Lead security-related project delivery from the detailed technical level to high-level system views, including guiding security assurance & accreditation, application of government & commercial frameworks or other relevant technical guidance/best practice.

37 hours per week with hybrid / adaptive working

Essential experience of the Senior Cyber Security Architect:

  • Understand security architecture modelling techniques, and how these can be applied and relate to other security modelling techniques, and how security models relate to other system design artefacts and views, and contribute to a whole system design.
  • Able to design secure solutions taking account of security outcomes, business requirements and constraints, relevant threat context and relevant security regulation & governance.
  • Good knowledge of current and emerging security technology (e.g. firewalls, AV, PKI, applied cryptography, secure gateways) and how to apply it.
  • Understand security architecture principles, currently recognised good practice, and application of architectural patterns, applicable to UK Government, defence and critical infrastructure markets.
