Hours: 36.5 hours/week, full time.

About the role

As a Learning Technologist you will work in partnership with academic and professional services staff to support the application of learning technologies in the design, development and delivery of courses and to act as a change agent in this important area. You will primarily collaborate with fellow Learning Technologists and with Academic Developers to drive forward the effective use of digital technologies to enrich the educational experience of our students.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist team committed to educational innovation and to delivering a high-quality experience for our staff and students.

About you

You will have experience developing high-quality learning experiences and be unapologetically committed to digital accessibility and inclusion. You will be abreast of the latest trends in educational and consumer technologies, such as generative AI and the implications for teaching, learning and assessment in Higher Education. You will also be skilled in using a variety of software and services for producing digital resources.

Our work varies day to day and priorities can shift in a heartbeat, whether it be external factors or internal strategic demands. Not knowing all the answers is okay, you will have the confidence to problem solve complex issues, build a network of colleagues to address unexpected challenges and you’ll be a quick learner. You will be expected to take initiative and lead on defined areas of work, though you’ll never be on your own.
